From the Publisher's Desk, June-July 2015
I regret to inform you that this June-July 2015 edition of The Negotiator Magazine will be the final publication of the magazine under my leadership. Any future direction of the magazine will depend on whether or not new leadership interest arises to continue its mission.
The Negotiator Magazine's goal has been to provide its readers with the most comprehensive resource in the field of negotiation. Throughout the more than thirteen years that the magazine has served its readers, the vast majority of it's over 500 articles have been suggested and written by its readers. To date, almost 100 authors have enriched the publication.
The total impact of that collaborative effort has been the creation of a broad, deep and practical library of negotiation thought and experience of value to both the practitioner and the scholar. Very much like the creation of a win-win agreement through the magic of a separate parties working together, The Negotiator Magazine has been created by individuals working in collaboration and building a rich negotiation resource from their experience. I applaud the many individuals who made this magazine what it is today and I hope that readers will continue to use and learn from its trove of articles on negotiation.
This magazine has never had the funds to pay its skeleton staff of workers who like all the writers who have populated its pages are all volunteers. Principal to every phase of the production and operation of The Negotiator Magazine has been my daughter-in-law, Karen Baker. It is certainly time that she takes a bow.
Lastly, I want to recognize the contribution and support of our long-time advertiser, The Defense Group, supplier of TACT.
