What’s new in October...
In this month’s edition, Steven P. Cohen explores the role of negotiating ethics in the wake of recent United States corporate financial scandals and bankruptcies in an important and insightful article entitled Negotiation as a Paradigm for Business: Ethical Negotiations Lead to Ethical Businesses. Then, Grande Lum and Monica Christie provide an excellent case study on creating good working relationships among negotiating parties in their article entitled Adversaries to Allies: Lessons from the San Diego City Schools Contract Negotiations.
The October Readers Review of current books of importance to negotiators examines the newly revised edition of Doing Business Internationally: The Guide to Cross-Cultural Success, Second Edition, by Danielle Medina Walker, Thomas Walker and Joerg Schmitz.
We continue to seek articles on every aspect of negotiations. At this time, we are particularly looking for articles on negotiating ethics, mediation and new directions and research in the field. Articles from authors with perspectives outside the USA would be most welcome.
