What's new in October …

The Negotiator Magazine asks its readers …


October launches our first reader survey on negotiation. Preliminary trials of the survey found that the survey can be completed in approximately 5-10 minutes. The survey will be recorded and tallied electronically by an outside testing firm to assure accuracy of the results and anonymity of all the respondents. Only aggregate results will be tallied. Survey results will be published at a future date in the magazine.

Questions were suggested by many readers and some of them were used in this survey. Others were posed by the editor.

Some questions test the assumption that negotiators are by definition significant leaders and influencers of others. Some seek your views on gender issues. Others go to the practice of negotiation by asking about time spent in preparation, the prevalence of ethical behavior or the frequency of collaborative negotiation. A few questions ask for your advice about the magazine itself.
